The Carbon Dioxide Fire Exinguisher (CO2) is useful for extinguishing class E electrical fires. It is suitable for laboratories, mechanical rooms, kitchens, and flammable liquid storage areas.
When the extinguisher is used, the non-flammable carbon dioxide gas displaces oxygen without which a fire cannot burn. Carbon dioxide is also very cold as it comes out of the extinguisher, so it cools fuel as well. Being a gas, it does not leave any residue which is particularly advantageous in preventing further damage to electrical equipment.
Certified & Approved to AS/NZS 1841.6 The Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguisher’s cylinder is made of aluminium and is powder coated red. It has a nickel plated brass valve and stainless steel handle.
